Had the best Christmas ever this year.

It has been a rush of activities, one after the other. But I got to spend it with the people I love the most. One person in particular. Christmas eve was spent with me rushing from work to home to a party. Unfortunately, I was so tired, didn’t stay very late. But it was ok. I made it through. Christmas Day was another day of rushing around but again. I got to spend it with those who add laughter and colour to my life. Went to Tc’s party in the afternoon, and feasted on her mum’s awesome Christmas spread. Then we went home for a bit to lounge around, before going to my uncle’s for a little while before heading off to Tc’s brother’s Christmas party. All I have to say about that is that it was um… interesting…. but none the less fun. Then yesterday, we went to the stock take sales, and then to the movies in the evening to watch Madagascar 2. That is one hilarious movie. I love how with Gloria the Hippo, they made the reason she was so attractive to Moto Moto was because she was huge. That’s kinda sweet.

As I’m still overly busy with work I’ll probably won’t get time to reflect on the year between now and then. I guess now is always better than not.

It’s been a rather eventful year. Full of laughter, happiness, frustrations and tears. The year kicked off after a night of crazy boozing and shenanigans and continued to soar with celebrations of our respective graduations by going overseas with two of my best friends, and meeting up with another of my best friends. We had the most amazing time getting to know each other on this trip, plotting, scheming, and causing general mischief though out Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea. My return to Perth was rather eventful as well. I finally graduated!!!!! After years of frustrations with uni and my units, and making up my mind as to what I wanted to do, I finally finished… and that saying that once the initial high of graduation was over and you realised you suffered though all that for a piece of paper… so true. >_< But its a sign of accomplishment, and I choose to celebrate rather than mope. Added to all that, was the birth of my little nephew!!!

Fast forward to July, and to me, one of the most memorable moments of the year. Tc and I held a joint birthday at Onyx, and had the time of our lives. The only thing that dampened the night was that two of my best friends couldn’t make it. =( It was also on that night, that I met someone that caught my eye, and now drives me insane. But in a good way. =) I guess the saying, that it will come to you when you don’t go looking for it is very true. Although I didn’t get to talk to him for long that night, the events of that night led me to find him again and again and again. Before I knew it, I realised that I had developed a bit of a crush. Lucky for me, he felt it too. =)

The heartaches however started toward the later half of the year too. I had a lot of family related stuff to deal with. And the people involved didn’t make it any easier for me. It has been one thing after another with them. With the fast pace of work and that, it seems all of a sudden Christmas and now the new year has crept up on me. Despite the bad, a little ray of sunshine appeared in late September. The birth of another new family member. I wanna welcome her into the world, and my hope for her is that she doesn’t get dragged into the crap that our family seem to get into. ><

With that, I look forward to the new year that is to come. What it holds, I don’t know yet, but I wanna look back on it this time next year and think the same thing I am thinking now. Its been a great year, and I hope for more joyous occasions to come.
