I just got back from the UWA graduation. They had food…. we got ripped off. :(

When they were taking photos, my aunty pushed me into the photo with the cousins. The photographer looked confused and goes… are you his partner? My cousins and I looked at each other and at the same time we go: “EWWWWW!!!!! No!!!” LOL! Good to know after all these years we have grown up so much. ;)

Then dad had an old parent “moment” where he turned to me a asked:”Do you remember when you two were babies and we would take photos of you both in nappies together?” >.< Please dad not now!!!!!!

The first guy who went up to talk he was panting and sweating to much I thought he was going to faint. My other cousins and me were sitting there chanting quietly: “Faint. Faint. Faint” :D But he didn’t. So we took out our mobiles and played games until the speeches were over. :D

When the food came, my cousins and i were the first at the tables. :D Nicely done. I liked the vegetable skewers with the tofu. Lucky for me it was the one that no one else liked. Murhahahahaha!!! All the more for me! Mmmm Cherry tomatoes…. :)

Prejudice is the child of ignorance…

I had a relatively slow albeit pleasant day today. I pretty much floated in and out of consciousness all day. Seriously, I cannot account for an hour in the afternoon. All I know is I was kinda “cleaning” the shelf to neaten it and I looked up again an hour had passed. *shrugs* Oh well. What ever made the day pass quicker. But then around midday, I got asked to go help out in TV and HiFi. I’m getting the hang of working there, even if I don’t know the details of the products etc, but I usually only help ringing up sales, locating stock and on the occasion, playing with the products. :D But the phone was ringing like crazy today, and the guys that work there were run off their feet, so I answered it. It was possibly the worse thing for me to have done. EVER.

When I picked up and did the whole: “Hello Myer *******, TV & HiFi…” thing and all I heard was some woman talking to another person really roughly. I thought it was a mother telling off her children in the background. So I repeated it again, and she cuts me off and goes “Yeah I know.” Then she doesn’t let me ask anything else and started telling me about how she bought a camera and returned it and ordered another one but got charged for it and now she wants her money back because she hasn’t got her camera yet. I told her I don’t normally work here, and if she could give me a second and I’ll see if I can get someone who would know how the order would work. But halfway through my sentence she cuts me off roughly and goes “I don’t have time for this!” Then I thought she said something to me but I couldn’t hear, so I asked her repeat that, and she goes “not you.” And kept talking to someone else which I can only assume was on the other phone line as I didn’t hear any other voices. When I told her I needed to find someone to help me out, she screams back at me “I WANT TO TALK TO YOUR MANAGER!” I told her the managers were away, and that the best person to talk to was our team leader. She then went on shouting at me about how hard it was to try to talk to a manager. So I gave up trying to explain the situation to her and just gave her the name of my team leader. Then she wanted her last name. I don’t know how to pronounce her last name, not to mention I don’t even know the last names of my colleagues let alone those of my managers/team leaders. So I wasn’t too sure but it was ******** then she just shouted into the phone at me “STUPID ASIANS CAN’T DO ANYTHING!!!!!” Then she hung up! I was like :O WTF?! First of all, what she said was absolutely rude and uncalled for not to mention it was threatening. Then the next thing is how would she know what I am. Yes, I’m Asian, but after spending my entire life here, I don’t speak with an Asian accent. I told the others what happened, and they were pretty shocked too. But then the other guy made me laugh after he said that if he finds out who it is, he’ll make sure her camera gets “lost” a little bit longer than usual. If I find out who she is and she wants an apology or wants tries to get me in trouble I think I may yell back at her. I’m still angry about it. From what about what she told me, I think when she returned the camera the first time, and got her refund, the refund doesn’t go into your account until a few days later. She was probably overdrawn in her account, and as a result she got charged for it. It has happened a few times, and we always let people know when they do refunds that it takes a few days to get back into the account. But the rest of them understand after we re-explain to them. This woman, I hope karma comes back and bites her in the butt!

Off the wagon…

Went out for lunch with some old friends yesterday, which turned into afternoon tea too. LOL.

Had lunch at Terrazza after the original place chosen was closed until the afternoon. My Penne Brusco was yummy. Mmmm avocado…. :9 We had a long chat about everyone and everything and then comparing our younger siblings and the trauma they put us through. As it was getting late and the waiter still hadn’t gotten us water or anything else, we decided to leave as he kept staring at us and it was getting really creepy. S and I had a debate about which way Utopia was. So we went there for bubble tea. Mmm… I forgotten how good a green milk tea with grape jelly was. :D

Half way through lunch I got an informant call from a friend to tell me that she had just driven past a certain couple in the car while she was out shopping. :D I told her I already knew about it, even though that person didn’t know that I knew. Even though I first had my suspicions confirmed unofficially ages ago. SHe then asked me why I didn’t tell her. LOL.

We were suppose to go to Minq last night, but after we got there, they wouldn’t let my friend in because his dress shoes were not dressy enough or something. LOL. Oh well, we went to Onyx for drinks. That place has really become a hole. :S We got there pretty late, and it was pretty empty. It use to be full to the brim with a huge line outside at that time of the night. Then as I listened to the music, I could understand why. The music they play now is crap. The only thing that made it less crappy was the drinks and “Vin Diesel Bar guy” that my other friend and I was checking out last time. :P

So we considered going to Metros. Only the line was long and so we gave up and went to Exomode for hot chocolates. Had enough coffee flowing through me by then, so decided against anymore coffees. We sat around till 3am, talking about high school days and how small Perth was and how I knew the same people they did, even though I didn’t go to their school. The scary part was that one of them didn’t even go to school in Australia. LOL!

It was a pleasant night though. :) Next time I guess. Next time. :)

In the mean time, I found this and I thought I’d share it because I like it so much. :)

ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!

Stupid country customers s*** me off!!! ARGH!

This woman and her daughters came in at work to buy a shaver. I told them we don’t have anymore, to which they asked me when I was getting it. I found out it was on clearance hence why it has been discounted. I explained to her that when things went on clearance, it was mostly likely because they were being discontinued. She then had a sad about how if things were on printed on sale in a catalog, then they should be made available. You know what? In an ideal world it would be. But here in the real world, where catalogs are printed for the WHOLE of Australia, it is impossible to know how many people are going to come in and buy it and make sure we have that many waiting for them. When things are on clearance, it usually means we have limited stock, and the company and the powers that be are trying to finish off with the range. She then wanted to buy the display model. I didn’t wan tot sell that to her, because I know for a fact how disgusting customers are. I have seen them open packages which they will not buy because it has been open (by them) and “test” out items and put it back into the boxes. I know for a fact that the shaver she wanted was used by some a-hole to shave the back of his hand because he wanted to see how close a shave he could get. I also know that there were other people who used it because after I cleaned out that a-hole’s hair, I took it out again two days later, there was more hair in it again. SHe then had a sad and wanted to talk to my manager. Argh!

But that’s not the only reason I get annoyed with country customers, because don’t get me wrong, some of them are great. They get excited by the little things and are so easily impressed, not to mention those who come for interesting chats to see what new gadgets they can find. But then there are the others like the one I got today who think  that they are so smart that they should get what they want. I just want to scream right now. X(

Even though I’m drunk, I can still…. oh wait… what was I saying?

I’m currently going through a self-imposed drinking ban….. I just realized that just 5 years ago….. a bottle of apple schnapps was enough to put in in such a state that I could sit there for hours giggling. At nothing. Now days, three drinks is what I start off with and ten drinks later I’m still walking around wondering why I’m still sober. NYE really kicked it out of me. :S In Singapore, after my first drink I hated the taste so much that I thought I’d throw it back up. I stuck with the Malibu and coke after that. Then last time I went out, V pointed out to me that we had had how many drinks, and it had barely made me tipsy. It wasn’t till the end of the night at around three in the morning, when we were walking to the car that it finally got to me. Even then, I didn’t stay drunk that long. By the time we were half way home, I was calculating how many drinks I had consumed. It wasn’t looking good. I don’t remember how many exactly I had, but I remember buying at least eight of them, and been given a few other shots by some other people.

That’s not the bad part…. the bad part is now it seems I need to drink several shots of the hard liquor to have the same effect as I did with one bottle of weak lolly drinks when I first start going out. Hmmm not good…. for me or my purse.  So yes, last time I went out, I was sober. And I just realized it seems I’m always sober whenever my friends and I are at the Deen. I also figured out that I don’t like the place for several reasons. First one being that I get elbowed in the head a lot. I’m surprised I don’t walk out of there with a black eye. It’s also extremely hot and stuffy in there. It needs more ventilation. When you walk in there it really stinks. Everyone is so sweaty, the place reeks of BO. The dance floor is also very rough, so when you try to dance in there, its like you can’t move your feet because your shoe is stuck in the crevices of the floor. Oh and the main one… its full of weird sleazy badly dancing drunk guys who smell like a walking pub. IE…. they stink of BO, beers and overly strong foul smelling cologne. Worse if they smoke too. :6 They clutch on to their beers and jump around, spilling it all over anyone within a certain distance, and with that many people, it means they get everyone. Yuck!

I’ve been so tired lately and I’ve barely managed to watch my dvds which I bought. I was going to go out tomorrow night, but now with everything that’s happened this week, I think I’ll just stay home and sleep.  Just been so tired and down with so much stuff lately.:(I do hope this changes soon. Sigh. It sucks being this emo. Especially seeing as I look back at myself in high school and wonder what the hell was I thinking when I did that. :S
