My cousin and his family are visiting, and in order to fit everyone in, I have to share my room with his 5 year old daughter. Nice kid, but my god she snores like a drunken sailor!!! She farted the other day too… then she scratched herself. I think underneath the pigtails and pink clothes… there IS a drunken sailor in there. :P She fell asleep in the middle of the bed the other day, so when I went to bed, I had to first shift her over to her side before I could sleep. But the kid is also heavy. So I gave up and she now has a larger share of the bed space than I do. That normally wouldn’t be too much of a problem because I don’t really move when I’m sleeping, but she also kicks!!! Last night after I finally fell asleep, she gave me a good kick, which nearly knocked me out of bed. A few minutes later she was whimpering and telling me she was cold. I then realized she had kicked off the blanket. >.< Had a 7am shift today too.

Her little sister on the other hand… that one is still very shy around me. She was following me the other day, but when I turned and smiled at her, she ran away screaming. =.= She came into my room and saw my stuffed animals, and I think she wanted to play, but she was too shy, so she stayed by my door and waited for me to fall asleep first. As that wasn’t going to happen, she kept screaming at her sister to play with her. LOL.Secretly I thinkshe’s got more evil potential in her than her sister.

Right now I’ve put in a DVD  to distract the 5yo, and I got about an hour before she comes and asks me to play with her again. :S

The Weekends Are too short….

Well the weekend is now drawing to a close, and I still got heaps of stuff to do. Spent Saturday morning running around doing chores, before hauling butt to uni to meet up with my group members for research. I still got a lot of stuff to do for it, but I’m thinking that maybe I will do it Tuesday morning or when I’m at work tomorrow evening. Everything else is moving along…. or should I say dragging along. I feel like I get one thing done in time and something else will happen. :(

I went to dinner for the Wandering Gourmet monthly dinner. We went to Seizan, and I have a pretty good idea about our next dinner. Who will reply as a yes, and then not turn up. D got me freaking, at one stage. She got there the same time as me, but by the time I had found parking she said she hadn’t found one yet but will be with us shortly. Half an hour later I called her as she still hadn’t come in yet. She said she was still looking for parking. So I told her not to worry about it, just go to the paid parking across the street. Another half hour later I called her as she STILL hadn’t come in. Only this time she didn’t pick up her phone. I was getting worried by then. It has been an hour, I hadn’t heard from her, the area surrounding the place was pretty dark, and she was on her own. By then the food was beginning to get served and I was really worried. So C and I went to see if we could find D outside. After ringing her another 5 times, we were standing at the corner thinking the worse had happen, and we were trying to decide what we should do, I see this girl in a car opposite me waving frantically at me. I realized it was D. After I calmed down knowing she is safe and just having a “moment”, I told her off for making me look for her while the food was coming out. Anyways. Eventually we guided her to a parking spot.

Dinner was great. The food was yummy. I had the Seizan Bento. My favorite was the chicken and the tempura sweet potato. I could sit there and eat the sweet potato on its own. :D We also had hot sake, and had a long conversation about the scent of it. We agreed that it smelt a lot like nail polish/permanent marker/squashed fruits in the market place. :)

After dinner we were suppose to go to another person’s place for ice cream, but as we were heading up to collect D’s car from the carpark, we got stuck in the elevator. We pushed the button, but C accidentally hit the button for the fourth floor. So when we got there, she pushed the button for the fifth floor. Once we got to the fifth floor, the door started to open, and then suddenly stopped. The elevator started to go down, and we started to freak out. It then stopped, and the door was jammed. It wasn’t big enough to fit anything but my pinky through the door. So we pushed the emergency button. The stupid elevator was so old that half the buttons were missing labels, and it took us five times before the emergency button worked. The guy told us that he had gotten someone to come open the door for us, and that the guy was about a half hour away. So we stood there, to one side of the elevator, seeing as there was a suspicious looking yellow puddle to one side of the elevator. C was saying how the “fat lady at the front desk should go pull a crowbar out of her butt and come open the door for us”. After we got out, I had to go tell the lady at the front desk that the ticket had expired as we were the ones stuck in the elevator. She was really polite and very nice to me, then she told me how she was trying to tell us that the guy was on his way, but the two way intercom was working, and that we couldn’t hear her, but she kept it on the ENTIRE time, and could hear us…. >.< Got the hell out of there ASAP.

Puddle Stuck

I didn’t get round to washing my car today. :( It decided to rain. So my brother’s hand print on the door shall have to stay there. Did go have lunch with some friends. The pizza place we were suppose to go to was closed, so we ended up at Dome as it was raining. Went to T’s place to pick up the baby seat, and then spent 2 hours trying to figure out how to fit the seat in my car. I think we figured it out, but we drove around for a little bit to see if it actually works. I think we got it right. I hope it is anyways. So now I’m all tired, and I got to get up early tomorrow to vacuum my room then got uni and work the whole day. Cousin and his family are visiting so I got to go pick them up at the airport later on in the night. X( Gonna be so tired….

Oh why?!

The first weekend in weeks where it has not rained, and I am sick with the damn cold. I spent the whole of last night coughing with a fever. I kept waking up, because it was too hot, no too cold, no, both, no coughing. ARGH! So now I’m tired with a sore throat, coughing, sniffling, cold and a little bit loopy. Was suppose to go get coffee and catch up with V tonight. :( T called me at 9 this morning to go for a bike ride. I could barely hold my head up. Then to really ruin my day got a SMS from this old school friend who invited me to her birthday. I told her I couldn’t make it, and she then tells me that I was a horrible friend and I should come for a little bit. I was not in the mood to go along with her annoying little guilt tactics, and told her that I am currently sick, I got something on the night of her birthday, and if I’m a bad friend for not being able to be everywhere well then I’m a sorry I’m a bad friend. I haven’t even spoken to her in a year! No one else from school talks to her because she does this. I don’t know why I keep falling for it. If she doesn’t contact me again after this, I think it may be for the best. She’s got way too many issues she should deal with. Starting with how she keeps trying to sabotage her friends’ happiness.

I took a Codral day/night tablet. I’ve already managed to kick the cord out of the power socket and according to A it is only suppose to make me drowsy. I feel like I’m drunk. :S I was starving this morning, but nothing seemed appetizing to me. for breakfast I ended up settling for Kaya on bread and a cup of hot chocolate. By lunch time I was hungry again, and plain porridge which my parents made(they are the ones who passed the cold on to me) was very unappealing. So I made bean thread noodles with fish pieces. I felt a little better, but my nose is sore and blocked and my throat feels like I swallowed a towel or something and it is very dry. :( As I’m typing this, I’m contemplating taking a nap.

Sigh. I hate being sick. I use to not get sick very often at all. In fact, I was one of the handful of kids in school who managed to go a couple of years without a sick day. So not fair. Other kids got to stay home because it was their birthday or because they had sneezed once and their parents feared the worse and kept them home. Not my parents. Oh no.

In my house, if you are sick my parents’ theory was that it is because your body is weak. So to “strengthen” your body they make you do things when you are sick. Sigh. At least now they leave me to do whatever when I get a cold or flu. But I still better not let them catch me napping. They’ll wake me up to make me do more things!!! I think I will take that nap.

Be Still!!! I command you!

Leg shakers. I’m sure they are nice people. I’m sure they are quite friendly. I’m sure they don’t go planning on hurting anyone. BUT FREAKING HELL!!!!!! STOP SHAKING YOUR LEG!!!!!
I was in my lecture this morning, and ended up on the same row as a leg shaker. The seats are those theater type one, which fold down and the tables are twisted out. In other words, the seats in the row are all connected. One person moves and the whole row will feel it. So what does she do? She sits there for two hours shaking her damn leg!!! ARGH!! I thought she was making a freaking milkshake on her leg! I kinda know her, as we have had a few classes together before, and I know she is nice, but from now on, I am never sitting next to her ever again! Its fine the first 5 minutes, but when it hits the half hour mark and she is still shaking I was ready to take my umbrella and clobber her with it. The girl next to me was too. she kept glaring at her to stop but she didn’t notice. Argh! It so distracting. My brother does it too. At the dinner table. We’ll be sitting down to dinner, and he’ll be shaking. No matter how many times we tell him off for it, he will still do it. X(

I once saw this scene in a movie. This guy is shaking his leg and his boss is getting annoyed, so he comes over to him and tells him this story:

There was once this guy who had a mouth disease, the doctors had to remove his mouth. The guy from that day onwards had to eat through his butt. Every time he chewed food, he would have to shake his leg. One day he and his friends were walking down the street and the guy kept shaking his leg and distracting his friend. Eventually, his friend asked what was wrong and the guy said to him, “Nothing, I’m just chewing gum.”

So in other words, unless you are eating though your bum, STOP SHAKING YOUR FREAKING LEG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So yes, once again the weekend flew right by. :( Friday night straight after work, went to Sapphire Bar. :) It was so good! Surprisingly a lot of people were there, and the music was great. Took turns to try get one friend drunk, as she normally drives us and so doesn’t drink. Only we taking turns, meant we got tipsy in the process too. :S Friday night we went out again, this time we went to Deen, but were put off by the drinking we did the night before. I liked it there, but the place was too crowded and I could barely move, that and a few of the guys there need to learn about cleanliness, seriously smelt a little too funky at times! Ergh! It didn’t help, that most of the guys there were much taller than me, so I was at pitt-level. X( So we headed on to Onyx. C and I were mesmerized by the Vin Diesel look-a-like bar tender, and were watching him from a distance. I suddenly realized that there was an old guy at the bar smiling at me and winking. I was thinking, “Eww….. WTF?” Then I realized that while we were staring at “Vin Diesel Bar man”, the old guy thought we were checking him out!!!!!! EW! EW! EW! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!! He was one of those old men who because they worked out, they thought they were hot, but only come across as a sleazy wrinkly old man. Then I realized how tired I was. :( So after that we left. I feel old now.

Well started uni today also. I thought I had this particular lecturer who I think is an arrogant prick, but turns out it is another lecturer who had the same first name. I was nearly doing back flips, I was THAT happy! But then I was brought back down when I found out that my online enrollment for the workshop had farked up. :( Apparently, even though my account tells me to go to a particular class, my name is not on the list that the lecturer has. X( In fact, he has no record of me! ARGH! But he said he’s sought it out and I could stay in that class. So all was saved. Yay!

Shopping Hell

Went shopping today for friends presents and thought I’d treat myself to a little bit of personal shopping to ease myself back into the hell that is returning to uni on Monday. :( I forget that it is currently shopping hell. That is the time in between seasons where the shops are changing over from winter to spring fashion, so the shelves are pretty much empty or full of crap no one wants and they are trying to clear. So in other words I found crap or really expensive crap. I need to go shopping again tomorrow. Stil missing a couple of presents. :( I also gotta buy a couple of books and stuff for uni next week and realised that my Encompass membership card is dead as I made the mistake of countign how many semesters I needed to be a member for. So I’m one Semester short. On well. The uni bookshop is pretty cheap. Sometimes it is cheaper. Only they run out really quickly :( I may check the notice boards again for 2nd hand ones. I managed to save 50% from last semester by looking on there. :D

So just before I go, my cousin sent me a link for this movie in Singapore it is called “Just Follow Law” directed by Jack Neo. I like his work, it is innocently funny. The jokes are clean and yet they can send me into giggle fits. :D So I share with you a scene from the movie which I found cute and fun.
